Herstory Woodstock was born out of Jorge Nelson’s love of finding unique furniture, art and curiosities that tell intriguing stories and offer a glimmer of connection to times gone by. Feelings of nostalgia & connection to another time is what makes life (and Herstory Woodstock!) more colorful!

Jorge is drawn to things shiny, naughty and bizarre – and her tastes are always evolving depending on where her work takes her. You will find treasures from movie sets and the many locations Jorge visits as a celebrity makeup artist for film and tv. She was drawn to her creative work because it offers an ever changing environment and a cast of new characters that is good for her Quaintrelle Wanderlust soul.

Jorge feels the same about being a collector and dealer. She still owns and loves her first collection - marble eggs! - as a child of the 70s. They remind her of the visceral excitement for possessing an object. She shares that passion with her customers – seeking out pieces that draw you in and inspire and delight your senses.
