Nana & Tata Vintage Textiles
Nana & Tata Vintage Textiles is the creation of textile artist and Francophile, Polly Giragosian. She grew up sleeping under the heaviness of her grandmother’s homemade Armenian comforters (calico printed cotton stuffed with pieces of raw wool). Her love of French textiles was born during her junior year abroad, spent mostly at the Marche aux Puces in Paris
At Nana & Tata Vintage, you will find linens for the home (old world bed linens, antique quilts, vintage blankets, tablecloths, napkins, table runners, tea towels), vintage fabric and trim, as well as vintage clothing.
Trained as a fiber artist, Polly is known to remake old garments anew, cutting, sewing and dyeing with plants found in her garden: walnut, indigo, marigold, sage and comfrey.
If she isn’t in the Catskills, you can find her in an Atget photograph outside the walls of Paris, jockeying for textile scraps with the rag pickers.
